Kyle and Ann Smith are both native Iowans; Kyle hailing from Audubon in southwest Iowa, and Ann growing up a "city girl" in Sioux City. Kyle began building handcrafted furniture at the age of 15, and earned a degree in Fine Woodworking Technology from Rio Grande University in 1999. Soon after, he ventured to Philadelphia where he earned his place alongside some of the finest period furniture makers in the country. Kyle and Ann met upon his return to Iowa while Ann was studying for her Communications degree at Iowa State University. Their goal with Smith Company is to provide a premier source of 100% custom furniture, cabinetry, and architectural details to the public.
